In 2001, Club Classic Soccer was founded by Wilco Ravestijn a native from the Netherlands. The Dutch are renowned for producing some of the most talented players in the world. Just to name a few are players such as Ruud van Nistelroy, Arjen Robben and soccer legend Johan Cruyff. The long-term goal is to mirror Club Classic to the Dutch club structure and training methodology.

Club Classic is rapidly establishing itself as one of the fastest growing clubs in the area. Since its inception in 2001, we have grown to 25 boy’s teams and we’ve opened up 4 divisions of our club geographically positioned to provide a quality soccer experience within a respectable driving distance for thousands of players.

Club Classic has also assembled a premium coaching staff of more than 17 coaches of which the majority hold a USSF “B” license or higher. Our coaches have a combined 116 years of coaching experience and a combined 112 years of playing experience.

The unprecedented growth Club Classic is currently experiencing is in large part due to the interwoven relationship it has concurred with the YMCA. There are 22 YMCA’s throughout the Metropolitan Dallas area and because the club upholds the high ethical standards and family values that the YMCA holds in high regard, we have been able to expand the club to various locations.

The YMCA facilities in all our club divisions offer our club members a more complete soccer-training package. The major benefit is access to private lighted training fields all year round. All club members will receive a limited Y membership that will give them access to the facilities. Players and coaches will be able to take advantage of tennis court skills training in the case of rainouts of practices or games, an indoor pool, an indoor track, a rock-climbing wall, youth sized fitness equipment, weight training, rest rooms/changing rooms and a conference room with video equipment for club/team meetings or tactical sessions. All of these facilities will be available to the club members within the context of their weekly practices and with respect to availability or other programs that may be run simultaneously. Families may also be offered a reduced fee for family memberships, thereby allowing parents and siblings to take advantage of all these same opportunities while their kids are practicing.

Club Classic has joined forces with Texas Spirit. The brother/sister club concept was designed to keep the Texas Spirit history intact. The Texas Spirit Soccer Club is one of North Texas’ oldest and most successful all-female soccer clubs. Spirit started in 1979 and has grown and flourished for over 20 years.
